What's weird is that the distance from SF to Paris is 9000 Km, which is 30 light-ms. So the theoretical minimal latency would be 30ms. How comes we're 5 times above that ? Is the latency introduced by routers ? If yes, then that q

The title is a tiny bit misleading. Indeed all of those are JavaScript emulators, but not all of them were written in JS. At least one on the list (mupen64plus) is transpiled from C++ using the (amazing) emscripten.

As far as I remember, that's the first time I saw Apple introducing a brand new product by saying it's cheaper than equivalent competitors. I guess they had so little else to say...

It's a bit off topic, but I wonder why they add such a visible ® after their name in the navbar.

I think SQLite deserves to be looked at. Not so much for its coding style as for the sheer amount of tests in the code base. It has nearly 800 times more tests than code. Yes, 800, that's not a typo. https://www.sqlite.org&#

750 000 units per year still looks like a decent figure. At $100 a piece they'd still be making $75M in sales...

This one is Bluetooth low-energy, ESP8266 is WiFi. Also the ESP8266 uses an obscure core (Xtensa LX106) whereas this one uses a Cortex M0. So most likely this one is much more energy efficient.

Nice to see such a forgotten protocol revived :-) Unfortunately it seems down at the moment ("finger: reading from network: Connection reset by peer").

I'm really wondering about the politics behind all this. I mean both LLVM and WebKit are Apple projects (even though they're Open Source). So it would have been reasonable to expect an improvement of LLVM instead of ditching it al

The very same reasoning could be applied to any market leader. So then why is this guy hosting his repos on GitHub? Hell he should host his own GitLab instance, or even go all-in and ditch git altogether...

You say you have to rely on humans and heuristics to determine which CL to revert. Couldn't you automatically re-run just the failing tests on the batch? More importantly, you seem to be running all the tests, as often as you can. A co
