Can someone please reimplement something like Warcraft 2 on a mobile web device? It would be a hit, I’m telling you. Even from 1995. Some people are still playing it 30 years later, obsessively. And myth ii by Bungie is a classic too

I actually don’t look forward to this period. I have always been for open source software and distributism — until AI. Because if there’s one thing worse than governments having nuclear weapons, it’s everyone having them. It would be chaos.

Actually, the US didn’t have a famine, it had the opposite. Automation like combines and tractors obviated the need for oxen and farmhands to plow and reap manually. The farmers competed in a race to the bottom (depleting the soil and causi

But why do we need to avoid https at all? You can easily have CA-signed certificates and have DNS server resolve the local ourfreewifi.com domain. It’s your domain, you can even set up DNSSEC and it will be fine.

What are you talking about? You can easily build the captive portals by setting up a custom DNS server, and HTTPS has nothing to do with it! In fact, local networks have been doing this very thing for years now. Apple even supports Detectin

This is what things should be like chatting programs and end-to-end encryption. But in every case by the way, we kinda trust the makers of this software. They can easily ship backdoors to specific users. Same with crypto wallets etc.

One would think that machines and automation would be the perfect thing to catch bugs. We already do that on many levels -- compilers, linters, pre-commit hooks etc. Well, AI can just red-team and create new tests. The great thing about red

As a result, a new psychological loop forms: Every moment I don't spend prompting, I'm falling behind. The system insidiously guilts you for not leveraging it constantly. Allowing AI to sit there, just waiting, feels like a waste
