FYI: SBNation is the main property of VOX Media that owns The Verge. Something nasty must've gotten onto their CDN, but it wasn't necessarily from The Verge - since they operate a significant amount of websites - it's just that The Verge wa

As long as this is true - http://i.imgur.com/3Jq9Y.png - the movie / TV industry will need to continue working toward a service that's bigger and better than Hulu Plus. As it is right now, they're giving most users very little reasons to

Back to the topic - (not SO) - I'd agree with some of the other commenters on SO that high-turnover isn't the engineers' fault; it's obviously a management issue. Most engineers that I've worked with would trade a good work environment &

I'm thinking it's probably a myth - just like the "announcement" that Samsung paid Apple in trucks of small change.

Isn't PhoneGap just the interpreter for an HTML5 web app - the wrapper to get it on the phone as an ipa? Unless it's changed a lot since 1.0 I don't believe it's some kind of WYSIWIG iPhone maker that creates bloated, terrible, code.

Yet, artists are only receiving .00001 or some ridiculous amount per play per song. Sounds like it isn't these "evil services" that are cutting them off a the knees, but the predatory contracts the labels set up with artists.

I'm young (just a recent University graduate), so I expect my viewpoint to change over the next few years after I get into the shit and start getting run down by large companies grinding away at me (it's happened a couple times already - ha

It should also mean though that cross-posting to other sites like Kijiji (very common) could result in having take-down notices sent for your ad (- since it's an exclusive license you're granting them). [IANAL]

Really? If you gave Jobs the choice between making a better product or having a government issued Green certification - you think he'd pick the certification... If anything this is incredibly Jobs-ian as it's obvious that Cook isn't cow-tow

It should be if you're coming from overseas. 2 sets of lawyers and accountants. The hours rack up pretty quick. It's also good to have at least one of the sets on hand via retainer for best practices for tax and legal issues. That's if he's
