They are indirectly if not legally liable. If they tried something as damaging as Nano Defender here, it would be massive bad PR and they would be forced to backpedal or lose industry trust.

Corel painter has terrible UX, to the point where I deleted it from my computer after three hours attempting to follow tutorials. On Mac, I strongly recommend Pixelmator.

Minecraft via mods. As exemplified in this post, the Minecraft community makes good tools for map making and otherwise transforming the base Minecraft game into whatever you want.

Thank you for sharing gtoolkit! I’m also looking for the sequel to Jupyter, something that gives the same speed of iteration but with the ability to scale to production systems.

Contrast between a growing/innovative/free society and a stagnant/authoritarian one. Key difference is meritocracy -- can competent newcomers displace incumbents? This is mirrored at smaller scales -- good leaders of healthy

ISP anti-trust should break vertical integration. Have one set of companies laying cable, and then selling commodity bandwidth to another set of customer facing providers. Similar to South Korea's very efficient internet system.

Re-orgs, at least ones I've seen in Microsoft recently, are necessary acts of creative destruction. Halt stagnant projects and move employees into new growth areas.

"Why Nations Fail" is an excellent book on this topic. There's a cycle between poverty and exploitation, and the book does an excellent job detailing many historical examples.

If old Surfaces had problems, the new ones don't. I've used a new MacBook and Surface daily for the last couple months, and the tracking performance and latency are indistinguishable. Haptic clicking is better on the Mac though.

Agree with you here. When working on more complex problems, I keep a hand-drawn diagram of the relevant code next to my keyboard. Often I'll spend a day sketching out 5 or 6 rough drafts before I arrive at an accurate understand of bot

I've used Blazor for one project, and it was a true joy to learn. All the good parts of React, but without some of the clunky design decisions that come from having to work with traditional browser javascript.
