Just wanted to chip in with a positive comment among the hail of negativity here. Thank you for what you and your team are doing. I've been getting tons of great use daily out of the search and news features, as well as occasionally us

Honestly at this point, untangling my group chat mess was such a headache that I'll never turn RCS on again. I need to have 100% confidence that my messages are received and sent, and Google has forever broken that trust re: RCS. I man

I had the same issue, with Google Fi! The only thing that briefly resolved it was swapping my number over to an older phone running stock android. Stopped working again when I switched back to my other phone. I just ended up turning it off

It absolutely did not. ChatGPT is free to use and most people I know have barely engaged with it beyond a few queries once or twice to try it. When the iPhone came out, nearly everyone I knew dumped hundreds of dollars to get one (or a droi

Well, you probably did have to wait because 5 days before the sale is when it will be artificially inflated.

That doesn't feel like a very apt analogy. Poor vision or dyslexia can't easily be hijacked into a cycle of addiction the way poor impulse control can. Making a bit of money helping someone with poor vision is very different than

Speaking as an experienced desktop .NET Dev, we've avoided it due to years of instability and no real confidence it'll get fully adopted. We've stuck with WPF, which is certainly a bit warty, but ultimately fine. If starting

I agree GP was talking about the multi monitor scenario, but I also run into trouble with just one monitor. If I'm playing a full screen game and want to know what time it is, there's no way to focus the task bar without closing t

That's really rough. We bought into a neighborhood in an older college town, and I think that's helped things a bit for us. Smaller houses and yards, so people hang out around the neighborhood or in parks. Everyone's out walk

It's the phones. No one has anything to talk about anymore because constant scrolling leaves you with nothing to show. And then it's self perpetuating --easier to keep slamming the dopamine button than trying to make conversation

I was thinking about this last night while walking the dog around our neighborhood. We're frequently hanging out in our front yard during the day in the summer, so it's not unusual to chat for a bit with the mail carrier as they&#

Gotta disagree here. Running a checkout lane isn't exactly rocket science, and as such the vast majority of the experiences I have in staffed checkout lanes are neutral to good. When using automated checkout on the other hand, if I eve

Sure, but regardless of what the better way to learn is, a large part of the purpose of a degree is to demonstrate to potential employers that you have a certain proficiency in a field. Universities stake their reputation and accreditation

Gotta disagree here. When you choose to have kids you're giving yourself to something greater. Ignoring them to dedicate yourself to a career is not someone's "yum", it's just being derelict in your duties to your c

I switched our team over to VictoriaLogs from ELK when VL1.0 was released a few months back and we've been very happy with it. Nowhere near as much finicky performance tuning, no more logs failing to ingest because a string looked a bi
