Internet explorer. A custom CMS. And sometimes some of the posted data is missing... On a single POS. And because data ath end of form is optional, system can't even figure out that something went wrong, it just silently discards it. N

I think the whole idea of generating random ids is flawed. Why take a chance when there is no need? Just take some machine id (seq. number, MAC), timestamp and a big enough per-machine counter and there can be no collision, guaranteed. No n

Glad I'm not alone! Not delay in screen change - system can't predict when user is going to press the button. But it is highly unlikely that the change of screen occured, I have noticed it, found the correct button and pressed it

On unix at least (linux and aix) there was mount / umount of a floppy, which should always be done before removing it from the slot. Linux couldn't force you though, but it was good practice.

My pet peeve: when I try to click a button and just before I touch the screen it changes, so I hit completely another button (on Androod - but it is the same everywhere). So instead of cancelling a call I place another one, to a different p

I don't speak finnish, but your interpretation doesn't make sense. "Crowdsourced" means "paid by multiple (ordinary) people". One could argue about the facts in the resulting articles (I have no clue about that

Where would you put it? I would say (nontechnical) comunicatio is mostly just a big waste of time, with a few exceptions which are vital. Except it is difficult to get one without the other.

Yes, it's annoying. However you can use bookmarklets to fix it and you can also use "reader" feature if you're on Firefox, it works surprisingly well (on most pages - not on HN unfortunately).
