Yeah unfortunately it's how things work. I'm not criticizing, lots of people do it, but in this case I just felt it was a little bit too forced.

But you have to agree this is a very specific case. It's a real life product, at a very low price with a very specific niche. If this was a rule and not an exception, every big company in the world would be using these ads. Another point is

He's simply profiting on the bots article's fame. If the facebook bots article never existed, this advertise wouldn't exist too.

Amazing how legal systems are made to bend at the will of biased government interests. If the leaks from Assange were from North Korea or any US "enemy", he'd be getting diplomatic immunity or any other kind of law bending to protect him. T

This is a completely biased claim. Just because you think that it doesn't mean it actually happens...

But it still doesn't make PHP a good programming language. I am doomed to fix legacy PHP projects for the rest of my life, because they are so badly written they simply cannot be upgraded to newer versions of PHP. Yes it's popular and I've

As stated in the article, it's not wrong to do what you're saying, but the article is talking about people that can do that and should do that. Quoting the article: When it gets to the point where you start measuring downtime in dollars rat

I don't think Twitter is as stupid as people think. They surely have thought about all of these options and soon we'll see how that is going to play out. I think this is a little of a biased analysis, and without real data, there is no way

Exactly. The only reason this bug got to production, is because the function accepted an empty string parameter in the first place.

Unfortunately PHP is consistently inconsistent. It lets people do that, and it won't ever break. Until they "make it right". Sure the guy didn't test the parameter as being empty, but if you pass a string instead of a float, an error should

You obviously never had to work on a huge project that has to support IE browsers. My company has to do that and we spend countless hours on IE specific tasks. It works on IE10? great! I don't know if it will on IE11. Or if microsoft will f
