You're being pretty quick to judge here. I've never worked on a startup and have no intention to do it. I live in a poor country where the average developer earns $8k/year and very few of us have any fallback. Mentioning star

Honestly I think it's sad how much the community still underestimates gaming. I tried using wine or even using Steam directly on Linux, but playing any game with 30-40% less performance is ridiculous. If you really like games, Linux is

I'd argue that's only valid if you're a small company. Once you're a huge corporation with tons of stakeholders, it seems inevitable that you will compromise customers in favor of profits sooner or later.

Either you're being naive or maybe a zen monk? I know my tastes and try my best to not be influenced by marketing, but I wouldn't dare say "I was never influenced by an ad". The very things you want or want to avoid are

I'd argue it's actually easier to cope when what you need is repetitive hard physical labor. You don't go to sleep thinking about that big problem you still haven't solved. You actually get the satisfaction of doing the

Unfortunately I live in a corrupt country where public work would possibly be even more harmful than private work. The incredible amount of wasted potential from human beings spent in the endless race for profits makes me sick. The irony of

I often get surprised how deep we got hooked into the system. We tell ourselves unless we're doing something (no matter how useless that is) we're worthless. Everything becomes a different kind of procrastination. We feel producti

But the server code has been part of games for ages. You could argue even a game like Minecraft (which is not totally DRM free) includes the server code, so players (and companies) can setup servers as they please. The only reason I can see

Serious question: why? Unless the company is lying and it IS a real vulnerability, writing an article about it seems harmless to me. OFC that if I planned on writing an article I'd be open about it beforehand, but that feels like a cou

Isn't that impossible? I mean, capitalism is literally profits above everything else. Since evil marketing == profits, it will never change. It will only get worse.

I remember what made me click was using a bit of assembly. If you imagine your code as a sequence of instructions, recursion is basically a `JMP` to the start of the stack again, normally with different values. Once a condition is met, inst
