I hope that Apple will realise that these games are hurting its brand and products and will kick them out of the App Store just like they did with fart apps. I don’t see what kind of business advantage allowing these games gives them. It’s

As far as I know, the HTTP standard doesn't require browsers to decode content with a decoding mechanism if and only if it has been specified in the Content-Encoding header. I don't think this is a bug.

Meh. It's about trade-offs. Some languages are designed to be lightweight and require minimal assistance from the IDE. Some languages are optimised for very large codebases and expect a lot of "ceremony and plumbing" around them. And then t

Most modern operating systems try write the contents of the physical memory to the page file at the first good opportunity (well before it's needed) in order to save time when the page is actually paged out, so it's perfectly normal to have

One of the things I've noticed is that the new Xcode 4.4 (released the same time as Mountain Lion) seems to be an awful lot snappier to me. My theory is that this is happening because they might have switched Xcode from being garbage collec

Due to my job, I work a lot with these broadcasters, especially Channel 4. From what I can tell, even though they are commercially funded, the folks over there in Horseferry Road try to take their "publicly owned" status seriously and try t
