I really don't think regulating espionage between member states is within the scope of the EU's objectives. Presumably, the Belgian government could make a complaint to the British government through the usual diplomatic channels.

To be fair, I don't think I have ever seen the escape sequence syntax being used for string interpolation before Swift.

That being said, some people appear to be better at recognising their (or other people's) past mistakes and learn from them than others. Some people just never learn.

Except there are plenty of other sources that clearly show that William Wilberforce did, in fact, support the complete abolition of slavery in the British empire.

There is no such restriction in place. Your company will need to have a UK address as registered address. Anyone can be a company director as long as they're over 16, not disqualified from being a company director and not undischarged

People keep saying that, but do bugs like that really happen? In my entire career as a professional software developer I've never seen it happening. Not once.

What you said is only true for B2B services. Normally, you would have to charge UK VAT for B2C services supplied to EU consumers: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-notice-741a-p...

I mean, for B2B services the place of supply was already the place where the customer belongs so your employer already reverse charges the VAT which means that VAT is reclaimed at the same time it's charged, effectively cancelling itse

Actually, the reason Apple sponsored Clang/LLVM is because Apple engineers were unhappy with GCC's build times[1]. If you need to rebuild an entire operating system (kernel and userland) every day, your C compiler's build per

Sadly, that's not how cognitive dissonance works. When people receive new information that conflicts with their existing beliefs they very rarely update their beliefs. Instead, they tend to either question the credibility of the new in

For me, writing procedural OO code in F# always felt awkward and inconvenient. This is a problem because most of the .NET runtime was designed with procedural OO code in mind.
