It amazes me that people continuously complain about these things, yet nothing ever changes. People still go through the scanners, and the TSA keeps buying more.

Most of us don't need 8 hours a day to do our job, but it's hard to express that without sounding like a bad employee.

I've been asking a lot of dumb questions today, so here's another: Do we have any decent tools to measure memory usage / allocation when running a Javascript program? Once we start introducing these data structures we will have to figure ou

I swear, every time I think about asking Stack Overflow a question, I find the answer after a few minutes of Googling. I've been a member for at least a year, and I've yet to ask a single question.

Again, I haven't touched an iPhone in my life, but this was the reason I've heard apps in Apple's App Store is better than apps in Android's App Store. There could be other reasons, but I thought it had to do with Apple's involvement. Keep

No. I remember reading a year or so ago about how tedious it was to submit an app to the Apple App Store, and how you also have to submit your source code or something. I don't have an iPhone. I'm just going off what I've understood from iP

You can use GNU screen to have more than one bash shell running, and you can use tabs and screen splits with Vim. I use to do this on my G2 phone; it's easier to play with Vim over ssh with a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, my phone lacks

Well, that just makes me more confused, because most languages I know handle multitasking explicitly , and they can all be dangerous when programmers exaggerate "cpu intensive" processes. I appreciate you trying to explain this guy's expec

I'm still not getting it. Go might be able to handle an extra request or two for high CPU intensive tasks, but it will inevitably suffer the same consequence of locking all it's processes given enough requests. Still doing anything that is

I'm actually very confused by his criticism. You can write a CPU intensive task in any language, and you'll have the same problem. Or is that the point? Some people believe Node.js will magically make all processing computations = 0? I'm al
