My approach is to type the “limit conditions” first, then go to the start of the line and do as you say (predicate the command with the comment string). So in the case of sql it might be something like starting with: WHERE foo=bar LIMIT

I only recently learned the “long press on the space bar” feature of iOS. It’s still cumbersome to navigate the url but far less so than tapping, which seems intentionally designed to be infuriatingly difficult to navigate.
