And? Is this an apple fanboy club and critisism is not allowed or you don't think this critisim is valid because of your strawman argument?

You do understand that this was headlines for years? Did you complelty ignore that? It only got 'fixed' 2023 and insulin still costs $30-50 per month for something you need to live.

Thats not the point. There is a difference between someone spending a lot of money on compute and never use it vs. doing the same thing. Its like buying a porsch and driving it always at 100km only.

And? Why do you even the comment on a social critisism comment? Just ignore it, feel happy when you buy yourself the next stupid thing while you feel offended seeing your fellow citicen. Why does it even trigger you then?

The social critisism is, that people in the united states of america (were apple is home), let people die while also buying unironically $800 watches as a mass consumer product.

I'm referencing us american people who were unable to afford insulin due to us americans shitty healtcaresystem. Search for Alec Smith in Minnesota. Its social critic, you did not get that? A country which let their own people die but

We can have real arguments, but lets be clear, comparing a $800 dollar watch you use for lisening to music and paying is not the thing to compare to something you actually need to live.

This is not a consumer product but a homage to craftmanship and clearly a luxury product. Apple is a mass produced product under shitty work conditions.

$800 for a watch. Man we lost it as a society. Others are not able to eat, die because of insulin prices, struggle every day and we sit here on HN and people are thinking about buying the next gadget. A watch for $800...

Doing 3D Modeling was not cheap and not niche. And we have not seen what the industry will put out on a hardware level. Optical computing is coming, onchip models too.

If you look at certain documentations, we lost already how we d othings. USA forgot how to produce things. This will not prevent us from doing it.

Yeah to a certain degree me too tbh. But the biggest growth from the last 20-30 years was digital. It allowed a lot of people around the planet to change things.

what i tried to ask you is, what you mean by this. "“what if we (Anthropic) are wrong about the value of AI”." What is the point you are trying to make which goes in this direction? Like is making AI jobs so cheap that the economy

The biggest critisism from my side is not how AI will take over jobs but I believe we will see peak of certain things. Creating images (menues, flyers, whatever) became so cheap, that we reached peak graphi design GDP generation. This will

Based on the current quality of AI/LLMs, this a very weird take tbh? What are your points? The value of AI is real and AI already is responsible for people getting fired or no additional jobs. Ask basic graphics designers, website deve

How? Whatever an LLM can do today, will not come back as is tomorrow. The biggest issue the LLM today: It kills all the small and niche things. The things were we fit all the other people is getting destroyed. You know the guy who makes web

I think we have a real problem because we know what we still need to build and as soon as it is build, it will work. Software development for example is enhanced with running your claude locally. But lets be honest, the right way to adjust
