Turn off watch history. Still get shorts in my subscriptions (from subscribed channels) but the shorts functionality and home page are pretty much stripped out, even in the official app. Well worth the minor inconveniences.

I think they’re too afraid of ‘removing the spacebar heater’( https://xkcd.com/1172/ ). You go look at early Mac OS X and it’s strikingly similar, it’s well and truly reached a point where they need a shakeup but are sca

Example seats? I’m curious to see how this edge case played out. Generally if you put someone above your ‘2 party preferred’ candidate either your vote flows down or it was irrelevant. Was it razor thin on first preference then the bottom 2

* The payload of WASM makes it a difficult choice if serving mobile or regions with poor internet and you want a good first impression. * Server side needing a constant socket for everything presents it's own limitations. * It has hot

I think worst is an injury inducing stretch, but I'm not a fan of them personally. This seems to be a problem with modern docs but I find they're overly verbose and the focus is hello world tutorials to show off shiny things &

Inbuilt rider works well too, I prefer having it all in docker compose I can wipe and recreate as one. Runs fine on nodejs so it’s surprising they haven’t been able to provide an arm build. More just slightly annoying than anything. Emulati

Generally fantastic, will second comments on web development being pain free. Probably want to invest in Rider, I seldom here good things about VSCode and VS for Mac(it’s a unique program, not full visual studio like the name suggests). Hav

Possibly confirmation bias but 'Simple' has gotten really trendy and for databases it doesn't get much simpler. Quite a few posts appealing to the idea of "why are we doing all this nonsense? X does the job just fine&quo

Their full keyboards have it in the usual spot, laptops and the smaller keyboards have a "delete" key that's actually backspace. fn + "delete" gives you actual delete.

Work on ASP.net core servers on Mac(Arm/M1) + Linux .Net itself: Everything builds and runs no problem, on linux I occasionally have to self install the latest SDK but that's a well known problem with many languages/platforms

ASP.Net core is powerful but even with it being my day job I still wouldn’t recommend it for this niche. * It’s damn complicated with a real learning curve to get your head around dependency injection, the vast standard library, heavy abstr

I think there’s a few newer factors at play over the last year or two in addition to the usual problems (anecdotal of course). * Unless incredibly niche, subreddits reach that poor quality threshold so fast now. * Marketing firms have learn

This focus on raw performance makes sense when comparing desktop workstations but for laptops it misses the point and I hope it goes out of fashion. My MacBook Air runs Jetbrains + a couple containers just fine for almost a couple of work d

Not quite, it's a middle ground, https://fable.io/docs/dotnet/compatibility.html Blazor, (or Bolero as an F# friendly extension) compiles to WASM to run any .Net library. In practice you occasionally find som
