Can anyone tell this poor ignoramus whether the kg is getting heavier or lighter - and how much by (approximately, I know it's not going to be an exact figure given the reason they are changing it)?

I mostly like your design, a nice clean look, but I have a couple of comments and a suggestion that you are free to ignore completely. Firstly, I hate sites that use such a narrow column on the screen. The wall of text from the previous pos

It seems so wasteful to me that all these companies are sending out cars to get streetview images of the same streets. Google, Apple, Microsoft, and god knows who else. All that fuel and other resources wasted doing the same thing over and

I don't know why you're being downvoted without comment. You'reentitled to your opinion, and it's a perfectly valid opinion to have. Personally though, I think there is one thing you're missing. If you say something

Here's a thought experiment that might explain it. Imagine you are at some form of social gathering and someone starts going round with a jar collecting for a charity. Now, if you witness someone not putting any money into the jar you&

Humble and humiliation are completely different. I think the word you are after is humility. Just trying to help - not attempting to brag that I'm better than you in any way :-)

It's the cornerstone of law for a very good reason. As soon as you start making exceptions you have to have some agency who can decide who are the exceptions. You then have an agency that can summarily execute anyone they wish with no

I may be interpreting it wrong, but I don't think the requirement was "don't be humorous", I think it was don't do it just to be humorous. In other words, if the idea is humorous to some, that is fine, but you shoul

You are very much mistaken in two ways. Firstly, Visual Studio is not free. There is a free version that can only be used by learners, hobbyists, and those creating free software. This is a cut-down version from the commercial product, whic

A thought that has just occurred to me. I wonder if self driving cars should have L plates? They are, after all, learning how to drive. It might change the way other drivers behave around them as well since people in general give learners m

I wasn't suggesting that they all had tinnitus. The parent comment mentioned not hearing of anything natural that could cause such a buffering effect. I was pointing out there are natural phenomena that can cause such effects.

I have suffered from tinnitus (which is thankfully clearing up as my ear heals) and I have experienced such sounds. Not the actual pressure waves, but noises in the ear which emulate such noises to a certain extent.

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. They had a utopian vision, but like all those before them they failed to take into account that there are a lot of 'bad actors' out there, to be polite about it.
