Summary: 1) Extremely fast GPU-accelerated terminals have a latency of slightly more than one frame due to only rendering once per frame (for performance and latency reasons). 2) Gnome-terminal sucks. 3) Old school terminals, like xterm, ar

The last Mill CPU talk was put on Youtube 5 years ago, but they mentioned they were going silent because the talks were giving too much secret sauce away and racing patent filings by accident. I never heard from them again.

I remember when Uber got roasted by the postgresql mailing list over this: ultimately, a post mortem was done on all of Uber's claims, and it was basically proven that they were incompetent, did not read any available "best practi

That is a false equivalence though. ex: "Nazis eat food, you eat food, therefore you're a Nazi." Doing something that all people do and are expected to do, on either side of the conflict, does not actually make a difference.

I've tried it. You can't really port magit from Emacs, its workflow depends entirely on how Emacs works (and this is a good thing, mind you). Neogit just feels awkward to use IMO from a vim perspective. That said, I'm happy w

Magit was one of the coolest parts of Emacs when I spent time over in that land. I have to "settle" for tpope's Fugitive. This is one of these tiny tools that should continue to exist.
