Except that you need to copy _something_ at some point to modify values (or more precisely, having another object that is the same but with X change). In theory everything is re-created with a change, but in practice only the changed object

When FF 57 came out I was surprised at the new debugger, much better than the old one. But turns out it's still useless. I can't put a breakpoint in the middle of a WebGL game and expect it to work like in Chrome. The last dev ver

Or much simpler: make it OpenVR or OSVR compatible. With any of the two it will work with the vast majority of games available.

Yes it uses both, relative and absolute measurements (each with its own drawbacks) into what's usually called sensor fusion. It's very well explained here: http://doc-ok.org/?p=1478 The headset is not wireless and

Until the GPU driver _says_ it has finished rendering. Been developing WebGL for years. I've never seen any difference in performance with gl.finish() and without vsync. I would expect some difference because the JS code wouldn't

If it maps closely enough to Vulkan, it's good (and it seems it will be the case according to the other comment). It's not the only competing successor of WebGL.

You tell Edge, "compile this", Edge replies "done!" when what it has done is just verifying it's valid WASM. When you then call a function, it's compiled.

Good point... Well, that seems easy to police: Have one car patrolling for beacons not attached to what appears to be a person or bike. The only consequence of such troll beacons are cars slowing down on that point, that's all.

Everybody misinterpreted what I've intended. SHORT RANGE BEACONS. Enough to be "seen" by car AI through obstacles. Here's the imaginary conversation between car and beacon: - "Is someone behind that parked van?"

That's really interesting. Although it may not be the so much the out-of-sync bouncing but the flexibility of those fingers absorbing the shock. It would be interesting to see one of those in action with a high speed camera.

I'm not sure that's true. There are alternative possibilities: That one learns to predict (some kinds of) people. That one's obsessed with a series of topics that gets oneself bored when not being able to discuss, etc. There&

Yes but I found the definition I gave much more helpful to explain to people as an starting point, in one sentence or two. It helps dispel the relationship with happiness, (in)ability to change and other false dichotomies.

Part of the issue is that many people don't really understand what introvert/extrovert really means. It's not about being happy alone or in groups, at all. It's about the "energy" you have, the opposite side is

WTF is wrong with the scroll bar? It's useless. A hijacked scroll wheel with slow speed doesn't help either.

It's not confusing for us Europeans since we use 24 hour clocks. Midnight is 00. However I did not understand the reason the 24 hour clock caught on until now. TV schedules use 24 hour clocks to avoid this ambiguity.

FO4VR is a pretty bad example of how good a VR game can look today. It's very badly optimized and with bad defaults. Lone Echo is much better, and with controls perfectly tailored for VR. It's an Oculus exclusive but I played with

Who says it? I had more energy on keto, except for one day (around a week after starting) that felt terrible and was fixed by drinking water with salt and potassium. Keto diets don't recommend against a high saturated fat content, only

You may want to remove the "t=88s". That's an excellent video I recommended many times, by the way. It has a text version with many sources linked in the description, and the rest of the channel is very good too.

Saturated fat alone is not bad at all, it's actually very healthy. However combining it with carbs it's a bomb. If you don't believe me, try to find any study with negative effects of saturated fat where the diet doesn't

The first problem is easily avoided with a few style guidelines. If a feature exists it doesn't mean it must be used. You can configure CoffeeLint to avoid confusing constructs. The second problem didn't turn out to be as big as I
