Why is the first claim more 'fantastic' than the second? Why are nurture-arguments so often viewed as perfectly innocuous and impartial, while nature-arguments are viewed as so controversial? Throwing around unsubstantiated claims

If I wanted to get involved with making games, it would probably be in order to design games. Not coding per se.

I would be curious to know if the authors of this feels that there is something that Swift can give them that some other ML-like or whatever language can't, if we disregard any ties to the Apple platform and ecosystem.

I do it, though I guess I only initially made it worse. I can't go back now, though, since now it is unruly as hell if I don't do something about it.

You mean going from a pretty gender balanced high school, to a department with a large majority of men? (we were talking about nerds here, and I am talking about things like CS departments, since this is HN.)

You could just try it. It won't take long to adjust to, and you can stick to basic things so that you will be no less productive compared to working in any basic text editor. There are some things that you will have get used to in orde

I've been thinking about using a simpler browser for reading simple documents. The motivation is to have a sort of "minimalism", as in using simpler programs to do simple things, and not get easily distracted by all the bells

I back up every 10 minutes. So I lose 10 minutes if I screw something up, which is acceptable to me. I guess I could back up every 5 minutes, and I don't think that would be a problem.
