There's a whole industry around this - seeking out terminally ill people with life insurance policies and buying the policies at a discount while the client is still alive.

If you avoid sharp edges you can take differentials - if not you end up with discontinuities which makes is less useful mathematically.

I seriously doubt that this helps at all. If someone tried to print bank notes from Photoshop and fails, they'll just try some other graphics app. I'm pretty sure Gimp and many other apps will work just as well as Photoshop would have.

This article seems to say the ADAIABATIC quantum computers aren't better than classical ones. In other words other quantum computers might still be useful where D-WAVE's adiabatic approach will not? The adiabatic quantum computer from D-WAV

I was being sarcastic! My internet access is reliable enough for this not to be a problem. For many people (like myself) a computer is pretty useless without internet already. My email is on there. My work is on there. Facebook. News. My ga

Since there's SO many people using .net I really have never had any of these problems you describe. Every database under the sun has loads of users with .net frontends - even compared to RoR users. Yes it's true that the .net+SQLServer user

No I don't agree at all. It's trivial to connect your .net applications to any database you want. If SQL Server is $7000 too expensive it's a mistake to assume you'll be better off dumping the entire .net framework just because .net + SQL S
