> Dereferencing a nullptr gives a segfault (which is not a security issue, except in older kernels). It’s a segfault on many C++ implementations, but it has undefined behavior, so there’s no guarantee.

Actual title is “Volcanoes! Lightning! And Radioactive Gas, Too”. It becomes ungrammatical if you remove the exclamation points. If you feel you have to change it, I'd recommend “Volcanoes, Lightning, And Radioactive Gas, Too”.

Actual title is “Apple unveils its subscription streaming service, Apple TV+”. Also, you shouldn't use the Apple logo character (U+F8FF) in the title, because it's in a Unicode private use area, and it won't appear correctly

Let me explain to everyone else how your function works. It's turning a tree into a list. The tree is rooted at “rest”, and the list starts at “pseudoRoot” and ends at “tail”. If the root of the tree has no child on the left, it pops t

Yes, cross-platform development is more work, but that example you gave is the wrong way to do it. It's better to abstract the differences using typedefs, functions, macros, etc., and keep the platform switches in a few isolated places

Yeah, they finally fixed the switch statement after more than twenty years! One sad thing about Java is that they followed the syntax of C (and C++) even when it is obviously terrible. Falling through to the next case is occasionally useful

The headline uses the term “keynote” incorrectly. A keynote is the most important speech or presentation during a longer event. A stand-alone presentation can’t be a keynote.
