Good point. Viewing distance needs to be taken into account. There is no reason this can't be solved though. How about instead of [m] we start thinking about the angle at which a an object falls into our retinas? Instead of pt or mm we coul

Not only awesome, it's the only reason why I would want to use this. Lets say I hear my iPhone buzzing in my backpack. I know I have my iMessages synched to my mac. Now the guessing game begins - should I pick the iPhone or wait until it ha

One question about messages: Does it only work with iMessages or does it actually integrate my SMS when the iPhone is in the same network?

Well do ribbons make it better for those users? Maybe a bit. But it's by far not an ideal solution to that problem. OSX's spotlighted help menu is.

That's EXACTLY the problem right there. You know what's probably the single best feature on OSX that nobody else has? The spotlight help menu. You never ever have to hunt for a command on your own again - and it even shows you where it is a

While it's an interesting idea, you would need one or even two of the big three players (MS, Apple, Google) to push this onto the market, otherwise you'd have a complete driver desert. I'd go one level above: make a HIL bridge between stand

So I assume it has multiple returns? Some smart built in error class I could actually see that removing the need for exceptions, yes. One new way I've found interesting in obj c is giving functions (an) error handling block argument(s). It

One aspect that's absolutely critical for tablets is weight. As an example, the weight difference of the iPad2 vs iPad1 makes a huge difference for me - only the latter allows me to hold it for longer periods without getting tired. The adva
