I had a similar experience. Surgeons can be excellent at performing surgeries but very poor at diagnosing our understanding the myriad issues with ergonomics.

I appreciate you asking respectfully, and I understand the meanings of words like "sexist" and "racist" are changing and subject to opinion. In my opinion, the nuance is whether the difference is truly because of gender

I don't blame Qualcomm one bit. Why would they want to support old hardware long after 99% of people aren't using it?

"For example, a senior customer experience specialist will make the same as senior software engineer." Whoa. I don't understand how that's economically feasible unless their "senior CX" role is insanely high va

While being a diversity hire is understandably awkward, I'm not sure what the author expects? She supports the idea, but doesn't want the feeling that comes with it.

I think it comes down to which companies and governments are on the other end. I'm far from trusting the US government, but I trust the Chinese government even less.

That's a good point and a fine distinction about whether the success is higher or lower. The point that Noam makes is more that its different. It's not a startup anymore. That probably means less chance of abject failure or succes

I'm hiring two software engineers for my team at Gusto. We're a payroll provider for small businesses. I do my best to treat my team well and make sure they are rewarded and recognized. It's a good company. Feel free to email
