There's a reason why the top Swiss brands don't manufacture quartz watches. From some point on, people buy stories, experiences, luxury. Gadgets don't provide the same experience.

Ferrari devalued their brand. From manufacturing luxury vehicles they are now manufacturing gadgets. If someone is interested in buying a tablet on wheels, he can shop Tesla or Xiaomi, they don't need a Ferrari.

This is still better than trying to paste text, files or images in Linux. In latest Pop!_OS I have to keep the app I copy from open until I paste. To add insult to the injury, pasting in terminal produces weird characters.

I was looking at Zig. It's performant, it's easier to reason about Zig code than Rust code but its api is unstable, there are a lot of breaking changes. Coding agents have a difficult time write proper Zig because of the breaking
