Yeah the previous comment is almost completely wrong. But on last point, it didn't get here by hard-coding and the reinforcement learning part at the end i think shows it definitely can "learn". I guess one thing I would stil

sorry but I don't think there is any sense in which the infant brain is a blank slate. Definitely not for vital functions (as seen by the "instinctual" abilities noted elsewhere in this thread, not in language/cognition,

I think hornets probably don't react to red light. I think bee researchers also use red lights in labs when extracting bees so they don't become active in the presence of light.

If you have to write complete inner product space a hundred times in an article that's pretty annoying tbh

I question the premise here. Can young children (say <5) who don't know arithmetic at all learn the axioms from just a bunch of examples? This isn't how children are taught arithmetic; they are taught the rules/algorithm n

So the problem that constructive math has for real numbers is that it's hard to show real numbers exist at all, not that it's uncountable if you have its properties. Also the deeper point is that you have all the properties of the

Ok I think what happens here is that we assume for the real numbers an increasing sequence which is bounded converges. I think that a number system with this property is probably already hard to construct in constructive math.

Sorry what? Are your numbers the world or US? In either way I think it's just impossible, no? There can't be hundreds of millions of deaths in the US due to starvation after this I don't think I need to justify this claim. (i

Agree with your point but is there a reason you used the Unibomber as your example? He was a math professor at Berkeley, surely if anyone in prison can produce good research he probably can...
