We are talking about reality here. Not ”what if” Apple did this, or if Google did that. Any OS/company could currently already deploy any change whenever they want in any random update. So unless you have evidence that proves otherwi

The KeePass database format has clients for every platform… and the best part is you don’t pay for yet another subscription.

I respectfully disagree :) that's black/white thinking, by that reasoning all software not inspected by yourself, and having some automated update system, can be considered unsafe. The world is not just black and white...

Simple, the line that was crossed is scanning your local files versus scanning cloud files (even though they promise this system is disabled if you disabled icloud photos.) Once this system is in place, it takes only 1 tiny adjustment&#

I assume you are talking about macOS, not iOS. On macOS, there's also an app to achieve that, called "Cookie": https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/cookie/id1473091386?l=en&mt=12 On iOS however, A

…turns out there was a bug which caused it to only work when the Application Key has access to “all vaults”. The developer replied and provided a workaround the same day… so that’s great support!

You might want to check out the Strongbox iOS app if you don't use Desktop, it's also really good. It uses a Keepass database also.

The browser integration is... Crap though especially compared to 1Password. Is there even a Safari integration?

I have done this, and it was horrible… for example I was missing all attachments (no notification or error messages). Also the fields are not properly converted 1:1. All in all, it was a big mess. This was about a year ago.

It’s sad to see good apps move to a subscription model, resulting in more profit, at the cost of losing customers with a limited budget. Yet another app that will no longer be accessible to many people.

Interesting; I just purchased FileBrowser Pro for my iPad, but after adding my Backblaze B2 bucket i just get an authorization error. Recreated the keys, still not working…

That’s pretty cool, i’ll check it out. Unfortunately you can’t change ‘Font size’ at all in the Duckduckgo browser.

I hate how Safari on iPad does not have proper Cookie handling… The only solution is to permanently use Safari in “private mode”, but it has some limitations (you cannot remember your browsing history, and you can’t set a default Font size

Even worse, iTunes deleted my Music and all my precious playlists, and because it was stored in the cloud it wasn’t included in my Macbook backups… I was so pissed of, i’ve avoided iTunes & Apple Music ever since.

But surely someone will at some point inspect the images… So my question remains the same. Do users get a notification once they are (/erroneously) flagged.

Apple obviously does not want CSAM on their servers. As the document states, they do not want to scan all images server-side for privacy reasons. They just want to flag the positives while keeping privacy standards as high as posible for

The question and answer i’m missing is: Will Apple notify a user once an image has been (/erroneously) flagged and will be inspected by Apple employees?

Sure, but by that reasoning, any system that has updates is by definition 100% insecure, and nothing else matters anymore… The world is not just black and white.
