Cost of living must be very high in the USA as the lower figure $3 mill would give me a very high salary in the UK. About £1 million would allow a 3% draw-down forever and give a really nice salary like much higher than the average.

4K for me is about gaming. The Series X can do 4k @120 fps (although most games do not play at this framerate). For me that's the main reason to go for a 4k TV.
