Life isn't fair, and is full of "victims," real and perceived. Doesn't it grow tiring, constantly making excuses for people?

I'm not trying to set (or move) any goalposts, I'm just pointing out that per capita emissions is a fairly useless metric to judge anything by, for reasons we seem to agree on. Ideally, I'd want the free market to manage the

How is that moving the goalposts? Any poor, overpopulated country is going to have low per-capita carbon emissions, true or false? They also have a lower quality of life and poor GDP. Not exactly a positive goal to shoot for.

The "1 child policy" is what you get when you have an authoritarian government instead of democracy. China doesn't have a properly functioning government, therefore they have to resort to crazy policies like that. And I don&#

So as long as your country is overflowing with poverty-stricken people, you're a role model for solidly low carbon emissions per capita? Got it..

So you're saying you want to emulate countries that have much denser populations, countries who are so poor that they can't afford much carbon-producing industry, yet who continue to have unsustainable birthrates? I'm pretty
