The hardest part is managing providers across multiple countries, if you want, for example, connectivity in Kazakhstan you either use a super expensive provider that supports a lot of countries, or you have to set up and manage separate con

Car business is ruthless, any profit margin is squeezed as much as possible. The reason the infotainment performance is bad in a lot of cars is cost-cutting on the chips used. Procurement is expected to find ways % in cut costs continuously

It is scary to think how cheap this tech is getting, so semi-expensive things like fridges and TVs will start to come with built-in mobile connections and be always online even if you don't connect them. With mesh networks it is even s

It is a one-time technique for private investors to extract money from pensions. I moved all my money outside US index and global index funds because of SpaceX and OpenAI. At least until these IPOs have passed I will not move any money back

I think this is usually the case for most IPOs, insiders cash out, index-funds buy in. Basically it is a one-time technique for investors to extract money from pensions. If you try to configure the index-fund to avoid this problem it is not

I remember seeing a video about this subject, since large IPOs are automatically included in index funds it is kinda of a way to extract value from passive investors. Insiders cash out before it hits the indexes, index crashes by a fraction

Turbo Pascal had breakpoints, variable inspections in the late 80s. I think it had stack traces too but not 100% sure. I am not old enough to have used it professionally, but my teacher used it for teaching intro programming in the early 20

In 3k you could rotate the camera to 3 (or 4?) different angles, but each was fixed isometric rendered. Meaning they did all assets in the game at multiple angles.

Couldn't you do external connections to sell power and water? I vaguely remember this being the best strat in the beginning. Or maybe that was just in 3k.

One thing I realized is just how much the harnesses are geared towards _not_ parsing files and take shortcuts. And even then I am very unimpressed at the speed these systems output code and the amount of tokens you consume doing fairly basi

Check the other comment, apparently these loans don't come from banks, but rather from private debt markets. And most likely they don't know these loans aren't viable.

What I don't understand is how the cost of banks repossessing these companies in case of default don't make the math unviable. Unless the company have a lot of fairly stable semi-liquid assets (like real estate) banks should be ch

This isn't really true in many HCOL areas, a mortgage payment + amortization can be cheaper than renting an equivalent property. On top of that the amortization of your loan doesn't incur capital gains tax. Even if your property d
