It's genuinely weird that they still don't have a virtual console for anything other than a select few NES games. We're midway through the Switch's lifecyle already!

Monopoly poisoned the expectations of generations of people about what a board game is. It's terrible not just because it's a bad game, but because it keeps people out of the hobby.

It's never been perfect, but Xubuntu has been my secondary OS of choice for more than ten years now. It's Linux without the nonsense.

Similarly, I mostly stopped playing video games few a few years after getting out of the habit in university. When I tried playing a new game, it just didn't grab my attention and I didn't feel like continuing playing. In the last

Thanks for the explanation. As a layperson, the headline was very confusing to me, it gave me the impression that another pathogen was causing the pneumonia.

Glad it retains the fingerprint reader, sad that Apple is so deadset against including the microphone jack that the iPhone 6 had.

The poor mobile support is pretty unforgivable. I do really like old-fashioned websites such as Craigslist or very straightforward blogs such as Paul Graham's. But this particular example does have a lot of usability problems.

Anecdotally, I think they have better instincts for how to stay concealed in natural environments. Wildcats are the same way. Bobcats are everywhere in the lower 48 of the US, but most people have never seen one, and may not even be aware t

I wonder why they didn't just revert to the 1963 logo. A lot of mid-century logo designs seem to actually express the flat minimalism that is currently fashionable.

All evidence I've seen indicates that the right wing engages in this kind of manipulation at a scale much more massive than other political groups.

Part of the reason is that the framers of the US constitution hated parties, and seemed to take a "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" approach. With no backbone of written law to fall back on, US political parties only rely

Major parts of the web can and have worked just fine without advertising. The forums and hobby websites I spend most of my time on don't advertise, and easily survive on voluntary donations. We even have built in hosting for user uploa
