I carefully avoided making the statement you've just deconstructed. Nothing in my original post mentions newness. The point I made is that enthusiastic and excited developers are valuable. Developers tend to find learning exciting. They cou

I've been playing with WebGL via the THREE.js[1] library and I'm really gobsmacked. It's relatively easy, and a lot of fun to play with. I've noticed that a lot of the demos people have created so far are rendering a simple scene, or trying

Here's something oft-understated: As a web developer, you sit on the intersection of engineering, design and art. You're lucky enough to live at a time where there are numerous production-ready tools with which to do your job. If you choose

At the risk of hyperbole: Lobbying is a catalyst for the destruction of democracy, and should be cut and cauterised from our civilization like the cancer that it is. Anybody running on the platform of diminishing the corporate voice to its

I'm (fairly) uninformed on this, but from an initial read of the post it seems like memory management may have been optimized for SSD-equipped systems, at the expense of hard disk performance? Whether this is unintentional, part of a calcul

Knowing that the median household income in the US is $44k, I am continually shocked at the amount of money spent on cars. "Slightly less than one-third of households said they had one personal vehicle1 available for use in 2001. A little

Judging by the success of games like Rock Band, everyone wants to play music. Traditional music tuition isn't suited to most people, since you start with pretty dull material, and you don't get results until you've been at it for a while. M

Pud - when I look at your site, I see a marketplace for video music lessons. A tonne of people would pay $1.99 to learn a Radiohead song on piano, or get that perfect 'wub wub' sound in Reason. There's similar stuff on YouTube, but it's low
