Having been first on both sites, I can offer a bit of clarity. Go with Techcrunch if you want to have VC's and other business's take notice of you. Go with Mashable if you want lots of users to read about your product and actually use it. T

www.amember.com - Its a script you install to your server and gives you the ability to accept over 50+ gateways. Very nice and only a one time fee.

This might sound silly, but what about just listing those who have upvoted and listing those who have downvoted somewhere. I think there would be alot less downvotes if it wasnt anonymous.

While it may make a difference in the future when we have millions of users using video calling on phones, Installing these right now wont have any noticeable effect simply because the routers in use currently are not the bottleneck(s) caus

Respect for this guy. I built and sold a social search engine a few years ago and its incredibly hard to get user adoption. We got to about 50k uniques a day and that was as high as it got. I knew I was in for trouble, because even I kept u

I wouldn't be surprised if its fake because Kevin and crew likely didn't want to admit failure, so put in a fake bid looking like they had a "win". Lets watch and see if the domain details change (hosting/ip/etc.) Mesiab labs ( the company

The problem with all these programs is that its arguable if this generates any value for the company's paying the affiliate fees. Usually a company is not happy with the idea of paying for a customer they already (would have) had. However,

Very similar to a service I did a while back ( card.ly ) but in the opposite direction- Big vs small- I love it :) Its amazing how easy they make it for your pages to feel sexy. Not sure why they want read/write for twitter access. We do al

What advantages does it have over mockflow.com ( collaborative web based balsamiq competitor ) or even over balsamiq itself?

Thats true and it goes for dedicated servers and colo'd servers as well in some cases. The issue here isnt outrage about a host having access to your box, which almost all of them do anyways(IPMI, Root Disks, etc..) - but that they used his

This isn't a issue of italian law. By all accounts, they shouldn't have been prosecuted, never mind being found guilty. Its a issue of freedom on the web.

Hence why I said a new version of wordpress where previous versions of modifications and themes are non functional. Hence if you wish for your product to be ported to a new version you would need to agree to the new terms.

Its definitely murky at best if they are GPL'd. I would venture to say no. I would also to venture to say that it would be trivial for wordpress to push out a new version (with new wording on the license and a reworked template system) whic

Seems extremely inefficient to have modsecurity parse every request. Why not just block it at the script level instead of forcing modsec to deal with yet another rule to match.

Its from the super spammy/scammy company 'mesiab labs' that develops the #1 twitter spam tool "hummingbird". It definitely gives me some satisfaction that they failed with this. Now if only the auto follow and DM spam would stop.

Just because they do a DMCA request doesnt mean you have to hand it over. Allow the other participant to submit a counter notice if they choose, which puts it out of your hands.

10 bucks says that its mashable doing it themself to get followers. A official google ad would want to get new users introduced to buzz, not follow mashable.

If thats the case, and its using stratus: 1: He is either misquoted or lieing about bandwidth usage in the article. 2: He is breaking adobe's tos for stratus, as you are not allowed to run ads along side any tech using it.

The cheapest bandwidth most can buy is about 2-3$ per mb/s in the US. Likely to be more expensive in europe. That would mean each gigabit would cost between 2k-3k USD.
