Well kinda, maybe partly as a "don't do it this way" lesson!

No it isn't: the latter will still have an author (flesh or machine) that you should identify. The creator of the image, not where/how you happened to find it, is most relevant. All IMHO.

And thanks again for the Zenodo clue! I now have my first two DOIs, one (data) via Dryad and one (code) via Zenodo.

Insightful and nicely written. I spent decades in finance including investment banking and as a director/founder of a small retail operation. A lot of this really rings true.

There are alternatives such as Rust for some of the error-elimination cases that Java was covering. I'm still using Java and improvements in it continue, and like COBOL it won't die completely, but there is a good argument for loo

Yes. An climate-fixing accelerator. Was very positive for my last start-up. We didn't create the start-up for it. We may have formalised/incorporated then.

At least in the UK a charity is a lot of admin overhead. The volunteer organisation that I spend most of my time with is not even incorporated. I also spent over a decade as a school governor (unpaid!) which I think made a difference, esp

I didn't know that such a thing existed either, in fact I thought that the maximum time you could ever take on one (watching the struggles of an old manager of mine) was less than mine is scheduled to take. I am self-funded. Part-time

I am in a similar position to you (though not quite IPO scale exit)!, and I am doing a part-time PhD in work related to what I was doing before so I get to use skills and facts learnt. I think that I'm doing useful stuff, and the exper

If you showed the same card to two different tenticles of Amazon, why would you not expect it to look up that unique identifier centrally? (This may be of dubious legality under GDPR.)
