But, even if you were their target customer... Would you feel comfortable using their service, knowing that at least once before they decided their current customers are no longer their target customers, and screwed them all over?

Same here. Migration path to Heroku was easier than migration path to Zeit v2, and Heroku hasn't fucked me over by forcing me to migrate to an entirely new model yet.

I connected it to none of those words. Instead, I connected it to a) some kind of telephone company that is dodgy b) incels.

It would be horribly naïve to think that Russian propaganda outfits aren't taking advantage of this situation. And this is indeed one of their regular channels. Whether they are involved in any specific one, though, remains a mystery f

It is better to make these things explicit rather than implicit. Saying something out loud, formally, helps make things more tangible.

Is it? The only time I have ever heard this expressed is as a bad joke.

Drought is definitely not a variety of climate. Drought is a shortage of water supply, which can be caused by climate, or, for instance, a change in the flow of a river.

There's a difference between thinking you are good, and being able to argue the case.

Definitely worth taking into account! But when you do, it's still a lot less damaging overall than things like coal.

It's an extremely uninformed essay too. It's talking about radioactive iodine, which is long since gone due to its short half-life. There's no point worrying about it, or taking iodine supplements to protect against it.

Well, exactly, and you should hopefully not be doing that, so, what's the problem with taking an oath?

If you can not argue from your own moral principles why your acts are good, or why another act is evil, you need to work on building your moral compass.

64 MB is absolutely gigantic if we are talking about assembly code. So that is not "nuff said" by any measure, it is a completely irrelevant factoid that tells us nothing at all?

No, but those are extreme outliers, and not relevant at all to discussion about large scale programs. You can absolutely not write a program much larger than 256 bytes in the style you use to write those. It would be utterly incomprehensibl

Video coding is one of the few outliers where compilers are not very good at the kind of optimisations that really help. Any experiences with that kind of code does not generalise to other types of code.

Why would print be different here? A screen is as much "print" as a paper is these days. Choosing correct punctuation is not typesetting, either.

You can't even write proper English in ASCII. ASCII is an absolute dead end. It's history. Actually representing human language is HARD. It is also absolutely necessary. Whatever solution you choose is going to be complicated, bec

It takes a lot of work, in terms of text content editing, typography and layout to make a newspaper actually readable. It is a lot of work, and takes a lot of very specialised skill. This page does none of that, and it makes something that
