It was amusing that Sunrise was bought by Microsoft, but still could not connect to either of the Exchange servers I threw at it. Support basically just shrugged at me via email, rough translation being 'it works on my machine.' S

What is the appeal of this over the abundance of unsettled land in North America that does not need to be created from scratch? I guess building a wall sounds a lot more romantic when there is a ferry in the moat. Don't think for a sec

Cash is traceable, each bill has a serial number. Totally agree that cash is easier to use after theft, but there is a huge market for stolen vehicles. They can be taken to a chop shop or even just loaded on a shipping container and sent to

MSDN is not licensed for production, I assume you mean you're using it just for development and testing. MS Partner on the other hand is licensed for internal-only production use.

That's quite a jump to make... how does 12 IPs authenticating successfully translate to root access? We already know who root was, and it was a State Department admin.

It's not even remotely interesting that a mail server used (unofficially) by the State Department would be accessed from around the world... many of their officials travel constantly.

Having something like this accessible to harm reduction groups could save a lot of lives lost due to fentanyl overdose, which is currently epidemic in North America. On the other hand, groups switching to this method from traditional chemic

Reds are absolute garbage for actual typing. They're best for gaming or specialised keyboards like at a POS. Brown is best in my opinion, which is one I will vehemently defend by drowning out all opposition with furious typing.

Just because somebody doesn't have a better idea doesn't mean your idea isn't terrible... maybe they're just honest. Seems like a great article to justify firing those who don't follow without question.

What I questioned is why the author misrepresented who actually developed the ENIAC through vague wording and omission. You can be wrong on the details and still ultimately be right. I wasn't trying to start a 'who has it worse&#x

Programming was a 'women's job' at the time because men were intended for combat. It's exactly the same reason women were working in factories which, in peacetime, was traditionally a men's job. This is not to say t

I don't disagree with the thesis of the article, but the creators of the ENIAC were given no mention and they skipped right to the 'computer girls' as if they were fully responsible for it's genesis.

I'm about halfway through. So far I find the book to be an amusing send up of startup culture. A bit like an updated version of Coupland's Microserfs with slightly more factual basis. Although, I am confused by his condemnation o
