Dog owner and cat owner here (I love them!) but my question is, why do we needs pets at all? Is it right to put a bird in a cage or a cat in a small apt or having a dog and bring him out just 3 times a day? Why we are so selfish to prevent

The reason of this (while I agree with you) is because Nim comes with a strong interop with C/C++ so the problem is that in C and C++ there is a SnakeCase debate still open. They did that so your program can invoke c (or even nim libs)

I agree, I would also add that Paxos seems exceptionally hard to get it right or at least this was what I saw so far in popular projects (i.e. Cassandra) that use it.

Unfortunately it is not a preprocessor, has nothing to do with that. Of course go comes with go/{ast,parser,scanner} which will facilitate that, but go generate is just not that.

While I agree with you I think it's just the cross compatibility the main benefit. So our friends on windows don't have to install cygwin to run a Makefile. However I'd admit that I don't know windows and real motivation

Usually if I have a production project I avoid to step out through major releases. As you have seen they do bug fixes for previous stable releases, which is awesome and IIRC the security one go even deeper to the tree. No one force us to up

Thanks glad to hear that, I don't remember where but I read that they yes submit the app with xcode but the review process is basically 0 days, which could make sense to me if they have millions of user affected from a bug.

I was a fan of twitter damn in love with it but I agree that over the time is getting worse day by day. The UX is just meh. Apps at least on iPhone are kind of okay, however... the "timeline" today is now even worse then facebook.
