I seem to remember Joel Spolsky recommending that UI demos be done on paper... with pencil. That way even a manager can see what it will look like without thinking that it's all done. (Can't find a reference quickly.)

I believe a huge percentage of non-technical users have no idea what an adblocker is. I've installed them for a couple of friends and family who complained about ads and slow websites, but hadn't known about blockers.
