Image and Video gen is superior locally, because you can tweak more, use LoRAs, use whatever model fine tunes, and generate uncensored content, plus as you're often cherry picking from multiple gens it ends up being cheaper for compara

Being hyprland keybinding skilled removes a lot of the desktop interaction surface, it's a worthwhile investment. People who've used tiling window managers for a while will tell you that it gets natural at a point, then a whole cl

Control nets are still useful in Krea and H3. For images, Krea can usually get close enough to a reference that it's not a big deal, but for H3 conditioning makes a big difference over prompting for complex actions.

Democracy works great among unbiased rational actors who share information. A utilitarian quorum is roughly the loss minimizing decision. The problem is we have biased irrational actors sharing misinformation. The representative system we h

This has a lot of similarities to a world map interface I've been tinkering with for a game I've been working on, thanks for the additional inspiration.

There's a productive capacity of the economy, and there's allocation. Currently we allocate a large portion of the economy to dog bowls shaped like toilets that flush when your dog eats out of it, billy bass singing wall tchotchki

At a minimum BillyG was involved in human trafficking, and secretly drugging his wife. If you don't put that in monster territory, that says something about you.

Dirty secret of the industry, lots of producers and musicians are using AI to "brainstorm" songs, then sampling from them or performing slightly shined up versions of them. Sort of like musical photobashing.

This time will be different, because the oligarchs think that when the people finally come for them with pitchforks, they'll have an army of terminators to hide behind. That's why they're going YOLO full mask off.

Try asking claude questions about biology/LLM recipes. Or GPT about how to do something illegal but only harmful in the abstract (e.g. creative ways to reduce your tax burden, or circumvent digital protections)

It's not difficult to figure out, it's just friction, and there's a difference between preinstalling malware, sports tickers, etc and preinstalling stuff I would have installed anyhow, and taking the time to configure it nice

WebMCP is indeed pretty cool. I built a prototype of a MCP tiling window manager that lets you compose websites into workspaces for agents, it was pretty neat seeing agents drive it. This article is way too long and has a terrible signal to

The main case for Omarchy to me is the OOTB experience, which is more "good to go" than pretty much any other distro, also the hotkeys and config setup are both power user friendly. You are correct that updates have had brick-risk
