What I gathered is that "mog" is from "amog" which means "alpha male of the group", which makes "mogging" being "out-alpha'd". Which isn't new, it goes back years if not decades to

I'm also not sure why you'd think that, Apple's been at the forefront of "AI" for years now, running models locally and optimizing their CPUs for local workloads to e.g. identify people, places and pets (much apprec

Anything that goes to production should have a 4-6+ eyes rule, at least one reviewer that can review the changes in isolation. If tools or LLMs can help them with it then that's fine, but it should always be at least two humans involve

Only a matter of time (if not already) before there's counter-LLMs or whatnot that convince free-reign LLM agents to go and generate cryptocurrencies for the attacker or run propaganda campaigns.

It's one of the biggest and wealthiest companies in the world, but your comment seems to imply they have to pick and choose what they pursue. They really don't, especially if it's hard- vs software.

Plus, if someone else does it better (or different), I bet they've got a team and technology at a 90% done state waiting to jump on it, pick it apart and make it better. I don't think they're not doing anything.

Assume that there will be a mass extinction event somewhere in the next 1000 years - meteor, WW3, whatever. If you'd then play a timelapse of earth, you'd see it on fire, cooling down, oceans forming, greenery forming, continental

Thankfully it's not an either / or, I don't trust any models. This is a healthy attitude to have because you shouldn't trust anyone on the internet either, especially when it comes to specific subjects.

Unfortunately the reality nowadays seems to be that besides the dated QT, there are no good or popular cross-platform UI libraries for these use cases. It's bold that they built their own.

The AI stuff was a lot more prominent in an earlier version, but they tweaked it a bit. It's the same with Warp forcing a login at first. Jetbrains is a heavyweight IDE, but I'm not sure if the weight is worth the features it offe

They have been saying it about Russia for five years now, and while I'm sure they're hurting, it takes a lot more to fully collapse an economy, especially one as big as Russia or especially the US.
