I don't mind H1B visas but I do worry about the amount of power it gives the employer over the workers who are under it. It just seems ripe for abuse.

I was under the impression that BitLocker does not default to being on, even with a Microsoft account. That's kind of dangerous if they have changed that without at least a warning.

I have wondered if there are matches between different people in DNA databases and, if so, how often is happens.

Personally, I would like an Amazon-only version of the store. I don't want to deal with third parties.

I feel bad for mice. We've solved so many of their health issues and they never get to benefit from them.

I will forever be grateful for Bram's contribution to the world of free software and to humanity. I hope he will be remembered for a long time.

I stopped at a dispensary while visiting Illinois and they were only accepting cash there. I assumed that the banking and taxes were the reason why.

Joey Hess. The first time I heard his name, it was an article for Linux Journal, which was about managing your home directory in CVS. He went up to create Git-Annex, which I understand works well.

I closed my account earlier this week. Between Musk’s erratic behavior, the fact that they aren’t paying their rent, and are trying to get out of contractual software licensing fees, I decided that it was time to go.
