Wireless doesn't really have the bandwidth for anything more dense than a suburb (and even that's probably really pushing it). Approaches like microwave are also less reliable due to LoS/weather problems. 2.4Ghz is noisy in

In principle an AV extension could read the scripts on a page and either analyze them there (or background web worker or something) or (if the APIs allow) pass them off to the native AV process for examination; it could theoretically be use

They are both pointers, but `b` is an owned pointer (it "owns" a heap allocated value) and `r` is a borrowed/reference pointer (a "pure" reference to something (heap or stack) that it doesn't own and isn't

It sounds like he does understand how the API works, doesn't like the way it works, and has decided that for the scope and goals of his project, doing things the fast and low quality way meets the needs of his users.

KDE has generally had similar layout and approach to Windows, agreed, but I'd argue that pretty much ended with Windows 8 and up. KDE 5 has more in common with 7 than it does with anything Metro.

These days it's probably possible to use a buffer in the asmjs/WASM side and generate the image data there, only exporting back to the JS side after the job is complete. That should significantly cut down on the overhead.
