I appreciate the write-up and the nod to AWS RDS. However, I was wondering if there was any focus on AWS Aurora (MySQL)? For those that don't know, AWS build a protocol compatible database platform that pretends to be MySQL or Postgr

I just got back from the AWS re:Invent conference and it was full of AI stuff, most of which didn't make much sense. The biggest announcement was "Amazon Q" [0], the Amazon general purpose chatbot. They hooked it up to the

I'm pretty excited about this. This standard has a lot of things but the on-street charging would be a game changer for lots of folks. Sure you have to cart your own cable around but that's much better than dealing with "ex

AWS is pushing their ARM (Graviton) chips over the Intel ones. The price/performance is just better, generally speaking.

I have had a FireTV Cube for 3 years and it just keeps getting worse and worse. These full screen ads are the last straw. I'm replacing it with an Apple 4k+ unit as soon as I can.

I also noticed that Alexa, in general, has become a lot less useful in the past 6-12 months. It's nothing huge but just little things keep tripping me up. For example, I have several "unknown" devices in my Alexa config and

I have a FireTV Cube feeding my old plasma TV and I'm seeing the same full screen ads, so this is not limited to FireTV units.

I'm in the same boat with my in-laws. I even went so far as to set them up with a FireTV Recast box to DVR OTA broadcasts. Only later did I find out that Amazon had canceled the Recast program.

I think this is a wonderful gesture by Tesla and should be encouraged by the OSS community. It looks pretty complete to me, but even if it's missing some items (CAD files?) it's still a move in the right direction. My wish would

I was hoping to use something like this for my Son's Christmas tree but it needs 33v. For some reason I cannot find ANYTHING to drive the lights on this tree. The old, broken power supply is labeled as 33v @ 800mA (26w) but all the p

Your experience mirrors mine. On a recent trip to the UK we rented a Tesla Model 3 and the Supercharging experience was a breeze; no trouble at all. However, there was not a Supercharger near the hotel so I had to use another vendor and t
