I'd like to know on your use case more, if possible. Not sure I've ever need to forward port or I probably read your description wrong way.

I hardly remember doing any kind of special fighting or annoying stuff. What's your pain points here? Had some issues after Win10->Win11 beta Insider build updates, but that's other story.

We can make a conclusion on this case being seen by Microsoft as non meaningful on average and from my understanding for those who care, they have options to be applied by your Corp IT team to enforce the needed type of policy. Probably I&#

In addition to very welcomed feature, it looks like Canonical team was heavily involved, and this result is collaboration between Microsoft and Canonical. Great job!

I still don't have backups, any hint on proven method? I admit being lazy, but not so far couldn't imagine how to make consistent backup across the cluster, something similar to --single-transaction in mysql..

I could be in some sort of bubble, but hardly can remember the case when dynamic part of request has not flown through some sort of reverse proxy or fully capable webserver (like Apache) anyways. On dev envs of course seen, but not in produ

I have not tried personally (have no Linux installed), but from docs it should be quite possible to mount your partition of Linux with WSL2. Google for "WSL mount". May work on latest Windows 11 only though.
