I think there's a miscommunication in this thread. @opalrb is the project's account, and is not the account Elia was tweeting from. His personal account is named with his own name, not the project's. The complaint was about

You don't think they're going to claim he's representing the project on twitter by mentioning his involvement in his twitter description? This could be a genuine effort to improve things, but the portrayal of him has not seem

Owch, before this it wouldn't have occurred to me that a "Code of Conduct" would be crafted for the purpose of giving identity politics some leverage into open source projects, for twitter mobs to better harass developers. I

I use this facebook app now: http://i.imgur.com/Iyd43n6.png (Android) It's either a well written FB app, or a no-permissions jail around Facebook's own hybrid-app/mobile-site. GPS no longer turns on, and mess

Is there any time dilation in the same reference frame as where the singularity is forming? (I'm running on rules of thumb rather than a genuine understanding of GR: I would normally answer "no", but "frame of reference&

No I'm not assuming a preexisting singularity, I'm assuming (possibly incorrectly) that you needn't reach infinite density for an event horizon. i.e. a singularity doesn't need to have formed, and you couldn't tell

I wouldn't think it could matter to an outside observer whether the mass inside an event horizon had converged to a point of infinite density or not, there just needs to be enough mass collapsed to an area small enough to create an eve

Does anyone know the word for this? Physics must have a word for how energy in forms such as electricity can do work, but once transformed into thermal energy it can no longer do work (a temperature difference is required to perform work, a

Did you use a tool to make the interactive diagrams, or just write all of them by hand? (I can imagine myself forever tweaking each diagram, and having to cut back on them, but you've created them everywhere they might be useful - it&#

If I'm reading your link right, bitcoin did win in the China case, with a cost of 0.4%? But your link is to compete against scenarios where "existing mechanisms" cost 1.2%, and bitcoin came close to that. While BBC is talking

As per your wiki link, it is about the extraction rate, which is not to be confused with how much oil there is - there will always be vast amounts of oil that's uneconomic to extract, or slow to extract, or both. The only "running

Great interview (the one I listened to). This stuff interests me, but how to choose a project to get behind? For example Diaspora and Gnu Social might be two scattered groups both trying to build the same thing separately, or there might be
