Hey, we actually have a similar workflow/setup with http://www.feedsapi.org , and forward all full content rss articles in realtime to email inboxes, evernote, instapaper.... we found out , this gives more control to our us

I guess it is a gold rush approach, some people are probably genuinely trying to offer an alternative to Google reader ,but I'm afraid the rest is just a gold rush issue

http://www.feedsapi.org is what I use and I am pretty happy with it, I mostly use the full text RSS to Email feature and combine it also with Feedly and Snackr for pure full text rss news reading.

I actually mostly read the stories directly in my email client, and only then I may now and then check the commenst on specific stories. Like tptacek said, reading all comments is a good recipe for hypertension and since HN has become more

http://www.feedsapi.org + http://feedly.com is my first choice, followed by http://www.feedsapi.org + snackr , feedsapi turns shortened rss into full text rss feeds, which makes the user experience with any other rss reader much more

I use http://www.feedsapi.org to forward all my expanded rss to my email account, On the web I use it in combination with Feedly to read fulltext rss feeds, and on my desktop, I use snackr + http://www.feedsapi.org .

I have a galaxy tab 10.1 tablet (Kidnle App, Google books), mainly for other stuff , emails, newsreading , etc... but I also use it for Books and am very happy with it. I however prefer Hardcopies when available, has more to do with perceiv
