I think it's interesting, but start with writing a blogpost about it. Even though I did'nt fully understand how your system works, but I'd like to read more.

Yes, good point. I often find myself ignoring the "pause" notification. I use it more as a take-off.

Great point as well. But I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Freeform task management". Could you elaborate on that?

A bit off-topic, procrastination vs. focus is a very different problem (imo), but try the "Strict Pomodoro" Chrome Extension, has helped me improve quite a bit.

Yep, this is true. Now that j2bax provided a nice solution for the "on hold" problem, you could really just show one task at a time.

Yes, I think this would'nt work without some kind of honesty. This hold-state sounds like a good idea!

I'm not sure if that is what you mean, but the whole list is visible. So you could see your next task and work on it in the meantime. If your highest priority task finishes, you could cross off both. But with more than a few hours of delay,

Yay, always wanted to hear someone from Khan Academy talk about GAE :) Of course you guys are already at the millions-of-users use case, but KA is a (the?) great example of an app where GAE worked out from start to finish, which I find enco

Yes, I know, but this is not the problem I was talking about. I find myself implementing a caching layer for my models (this was pre-ndb) instead of the feature I intended to.

This is an interesting topic as well. I'm not yet sure how to value the incredible services you get against the lock in. Sad (and worrying) to hear, that it did'nt work out for you.

the time spent on premature optimization is meant with 'hidden cost'. I think everything concerning money and billing transparency is handled pretty good by the GAE team.

I really like your design (: And yes, I'll be changing design and button placement in the coming weeks, that's a valid point.

I started Rankique - http://www.rankique.com/ - basically a price tracking app. Made about ~20$ so far, so it's "profitable", but you get the point..

That would be great. However the idea alone is enough to keep me hooked. Just recieved my Beta invite, creating taskks right now :)

Yes, This looks like a very interesting concept. Is there a possibility to define locations? Like: "school", "city" which I can fill with the corresponding locations. And taskk could then group my tasks according to where I am? I can really

I'd be delighted (: But I also can't deny that camel^3 looks like a (much bigger) competitor. I've some ideas to improve what bugs me about Online Shopping, maybe one of them can differentiate me enoguh. As I learned today: No reason to giv

Maybe that was a bit harsh, but I definitely got your point. I overreacted and maybe this bit of public embarrassment was necessary. Thank you.

This did not came across harsh, this came across as a reminder to not give up so quickly. I still think that what I said about sharing more stories of failure is true, but maybe the reason for my post was more of an impulsive reaction :/

Thank you for the encouragement :) I tried using Amazon's builtin wishlist feature, but never recieved a notification (I had the items in my Rankique wishlist at the same time and got one). Jep, this is exclusive to Amazon, but I planned to
