It is interesting that the experiment he proposes actually does use a jet of air! I guess the best counterexample would be to have an airfoil with 0 angle of attack - horizontal on the bottom and curved down on top. Can this wing divert the

That's covered in the article, at least briefly - We then have to ask how a flat wing like that of a paper airplane, with no curves anywhere, can generate lift. Note that the flat wing has been drawn at a tilt, this tilt is called &qu

Yeah, as I mentioned we did talk about it a lot. As it seemed like a lot of work, and since mojang had turned a blind eye, the effort never seemed worth it. The core team got bought before it all came to a head, otherwise you might have see

A few comments discuss the complete eradication of all mosquitoes, and the impact that would have. It is worth noting that only a few of the various mosquito species are vectors for most of the diseases we tend to care about, and as such th

Throwing some anecdote into the ring - I grew up in a primarily white, rural area (in Australia). I went to a university in the city, which has a large Asian contingent (in fact the city as a whole is a lot more multicultural). During my ti

I'm in many ways sad I stopped working regularly on Bukkit. My involvement started to wane a couple of months before the 4 founders got acquired by Mojang, mostly because I got a Real Job. I was there just as it was starting, and help

While I do some work for the bank, I have no idea how to even try to find out the answer to this question. There are two options I would use in a similar situation. 1. Ask for a case number, and the return phone number to call back. Check t

This comment is much more useful than your grandparent comment. Down voting might be the correct action (if you were able to), but a short meme/snark comment is almost never appreciated.
