If Careless People is to be believed, not even then. In that book Facebook was perfectly happy to have employees spend time in jail, as long as it wasn't Zuckerberg or Sandberg.

It would be interesting to see if the failure rate across time holds true after a rocket launch and time spent in space. My guess is that it wouldn’t, but that’s just a guess.

Plus when you have the kind of money that Zuck has, buying your way out of everything seems to work pretty well.

What choice do we have? Indeed, I would rather prefer that the companies that comprise the broad market embrace some form of ESG ethos, but that's clearly out of vogue these days. I vote to that extent, but I'm a breathtakingly sm

This is bizarre to me - my extended family live in the towns surrounding Massena, NY, and have for about four generations now. The area certainly has its perks, it can be very pretty and there is plenty of room for hunting, fishing and othe

But I expect my insurer to be unreasonable about paying today . It’s just that A) I didn’t choose this insurer, my employer did and on balance the total package isn’t such that I want a new employer and B) I expect pretty much all my avail

We could probably drive the cost down a bit by specializing in a delivery system (say, submarines) but I’m not a strategist and maybe those that are think it’s too risky. Certainly if we were to keep only one thing about the military it wou

Why do you say that? The strong impression I have is that Vance is agreeing with Trump because he has to in order to maintain any influence (and not get Pence'd), is there any indication he actually wants these Tariffs in the same way

This 'it's only a meme' bit ignores the part where being pregnant has the potential to breathtakingly suck. It doesn't seem so strange that people would want to avoid that if given the option.

I’m very curious as to what the American likely pending increased scheme of tariffs will do for intel. It seems like they could plausibly be the vastly cheaper option by this time next year for US residents.
