Yes! The whole compilation madness must stop. Machine code is good enough for everyone. And if you still need to code in a high-level language, assembly is what you should look at.

Some types of discrimination are not "fashionable" enough. If you are not of right color/gender you are out of luck as a minority.

So it's useless without V8. I mean I can install Chrome or an Awesomium app onto server and it will also run JavaScript on server (via V8).

You can always just stick JSON into a separate table for those cases. So that alone is not an argument.

It's an implementation of the Reactor Pattern with some package management capability. Not a platform. Not a framework. Not an engine. Just a script.

I wish the industry set the terminology straight: Voxelvoid is a block/cube-based - just like Minecraft. Now, this is an example of an actual real voxel engine: http://www.atomontage.com

I think it's better to hand over the platform support to experts (Mono/JVM) and just focus on the engine.

I guess this is why Microsoft diverged from the "standard" names like 'map', 'collect' and 'filter' in favour of more human-oriented SQL-like LINQ: 'select', 'where', 'toList&

"pretty much none of them apply classic OOP principles" Most of them are forced to be using some poorman's OOP. See Angular 1.x vs Angular 2.0. OOP is always around the corner, even if it is standard DOM.
