Great you've proven the problem is not the physical arrangement but the noise level. You think you are providing a counter argument, but you are not, you are helping support the main idea that open layout does NOT help productivity BEC

Unless you are in a paired-programming situation most coding is done by one person sitting alone. I would never accept a job doing paired-programming. I want to be alone at my keyboard working, uninterrupted, with total silence 90% of my da

I agree with every word of this article and after 25yrs experience as a developer I have all similar experiences. Being a computer programmer is about the same as being a 'writer' (book author), and no one expects an author to sit

That strange syntax with the arrow function is only needed so that the 'this' inside the function behaves the way one would expect it to in normal OOP language. It 'captures' the this for the object itself (like C++ woul

Well you've definitely misguided everyone by suggesting TypeScript is in any way related to Angular. There is absolutely no relation. You should fix that.

In my 15 years I've come to realize that HTML code-generation via JavaScript (or now TypeScript actually) is vastly superior to any type of templating (like JSP, JSF, Velocity, Mustache). Both ways (templating v.s. straight generation)

TypeScript is definitely by far the most important thing mentioned in the article. And no I didn't even read the article. I just searched it for the word TypeScript to see what it said. However, the author apparently is pretty clueless

There is one other interpretation of Pilot Wave theory that is sort of the "inverse" of Pilot Wave. and to me makes more sense. The PW may be correct but the particles are not following a wave that is moving around them. What is h

These two facts tell you the answer: 1) The "Web Browser" (i.e. html+css+javascript) is the ONLY platform-independent way of creating Apps. (despite you being addicted to your particular phone) 2) Javascript is the ONLY language c

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I have minification of JS turned off right now, and it's a very big app. I'm not really trying to or expecting to get any traffic on the site yet. It's still under development.

Our current voting system IS secret ballot, and IS also ALREADY based on computer DATABASES (not paper). You fail to realize that blockchain is basically just an encryption strategy for databases. It IMPROVES database security. It has absol

If society decides the risk of these types of behaviors is significant they could pass a law making it illegal to ask someone how they voted. For those who would violate such a law even if it existed, they are by definition criminals, and a

Even with blockchain it would still be "secret ballot". Each person would have their own encryption key they use to lookup their own vote. No one could check how I voted unless I allow them to, just like no one can get into my ban
