The slippery slope you're presenting doesn't hold water. There's a pretty clear difference between abortion and pre-pregnancy contraception. Republicans' stance on the former is not a strong indication of their stance on

I don't know where this is coming from. I'm aware that a significant portion of conservatives are very religious and some religious people object to contraception. But I'm not aware of any concerted effort by Republicans to b

As a long time Age of Empires 2 fan, the RTS genre feels stronger to me now than it has at any point in the last decade. But I'm definitely down for MS to release another great RTS title.

What monkey are you referring to here? Doesn't look like the FTC has even a remote chance of successfully appealing this case.

It is. The court is basically saying here "We'll accept your argument that the Switch isn't in the same market because it doesn't matter. You're wrong either way." They do this again later on in regards to the

Still using Boost with the ReVanced patch[0]. No telling how long that will last though. Regardless, I'm massively scaling back my use of Reddit. [0] https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wHvqQwCYdJrQg4BKlGIVDLk

Sure, but GP was talking about religion. I've never heard of a religion encouraging its followers to eat meat. The biggest ones generally discourage at least some kinds of meat.

Windows 10 was released in July 2015 and is currently set to receive updates until October 2025. That's a little over 10 years. And with previous generations of Windows there was nothing really stopping you from upgrading to a newer OS

Yeah, it's just a basic 24" Dell office monitor from 2014. Actually, I have two of them. The primary appeal of the VR desktop is that you'd effectively have infinite screens which can dynamically adapt to the content. But I s

Let's see... my 1920x1200 monitor is about 20" wide and my eyes are usually about 20" away from it. That's 60 degrees of vision. I don't know what the horizontal FOV for the AVP is, but found a claim of 110 degrees

It's not about price. It's about implementation and lies. 30 days is not enough time for Christian (or any third party app fev) to build, test, and release a solution to collect payments on behalf of all his app's users for A

I wasn't trying to say ML makes an algorithm any less opaque - just that I don't like when such algorithms are used to populate content feeds. I avoid content feeds that aren't driven by algorithms with simple, understandable

IMO, I'd rather see ML used to improve moderation rather than another opaque algorithm picking content for a social media feed. I wonder how accurate an ML algorithm could get at picking out moderation-worthy comments.

Many platforms have recently shown how you can monitize an audience without ads. It's weird to me that Reddit hasn't pursued something like that. Discord and Twitch have a funding model that would probably work great for Reddit. A
